Interactive map of earthquakes since the latest North Korean underground nuclear test.

It struck me that there was a spate of large earthquakes since the latest North Korean underground nuclear test last month on the 3rd of September.

Apparently the blast was so large that the mountain used by North Korea for its latest underground nuclear test has collapsed or might be in danger of collapsing.

I thought it might be interesting to visualize earthquakes in the 30 days after the test.
Up-to-date earthquake data is available from the USGS site (United States Geological Survey).

I downloaded earthquake data with a magnitude greater than 4.5 on the Richter scale, for the 30 days prior to 3rd of October.
From this data, two visualizations/maps were created.

The FIRST is an interactive, but static, map showing some 450 earthquakes with a magnitude greater than 4.5 on the Richter scale.

The SECOND map is also an interactive, but this time animated, map showing earthquakes with a magnitude greater than 4.5 on the Richter scale.
